Our island is shared by two countries, St Maarten (Dutch side) and Saint Martin (French side)
There are 3 currencies you can use. The official currency on the Dutch side is the Antillean guilder (Nafl.) and on the French side the Euro.
On both sides of the island US dollars are accepted. The rate of exchange is Nafl.1.80 for US $1,-
Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted across the island.

You will get the best rate of exchange at a local bank or ATM.
Banks are normally open from Monday to Friday 08.00 – 12.00 and 2pm – 4 pm
