Our island is shared by two countries, St Maarten (Dutch side) and Saint Martin (French side)

There are 3 currencies you can use. The official currency on the Dutch side is the Antillean guilder (Nafl.) and on the French side the Euro.
On both sides of the island US dollars are accepted. The rate of exchange is Nafl.1.80 for US $1,-

Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted across the island.

When on the Dutch side it is best to pay with US dollars because of the exchange rate. Click here for Travelex Converter
